Even More on the Biblical Calendar

I was told that I need to bring scripture, so here it is:

Abib mentioned:

[Exodus 13:4 KJV] 4 This day came ye out in the month Abib.
[Exodus 23:15 KJV] 15 Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)
[Exodus 34:18 KJV] 18 The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.
[Deuteronomy 16:1 KJV] 1 Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto the LORD thy God: for in the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.

Abib is Strong’s H24; ‘abiyb. The Biblical usage is:

  1. fresh, young barley ears, barley
  2. month of ear-forming, of greening of crop, of growing green Abib, month of exodus and passover (March or April)

The scriptures above refer to when Our Father wants the year to begin and specifically in the month of barley. In Israel barley is a spring crop so He wants us to begin our calendar in the spring. The vernal equinox is and always has been the beginning of spring.

With that in mind, Our Father has given us three other consistent seasonal markers, the summer solstice for the beginning of summer, the autumnal equinox for the beginning of fall, and the winter solstice for the beginning of winter.

There are 93 days between the vernal equinox and the summer solstice so the spring months should have 31 days each. There are 93 days between the summer solstice and the autumnal equinox so the summer months should have 31 days each. There are 90 days between the autumnal equinox and the winter solstice so the fall months should have 30 days each. There are 89 days between the winter solstice and the next vernal equinox so two winter months should have 30 days and one have 29.

The calculation of the winter days was based on the calendar of bondage; the Roman calendar in current use. Looking at the consistency of Our Father I would guess that the last quarter really has 90 days. But since we must operate within the system for now, we must allow the powers that be to have their variable month of February.

Now, working with this:

  • Preparation Day: Nissan 14, will always be on 4/2
  • Passover: Nissan 15, will always be on 4/3
  • First Fruits: If you take it as Nissan 16, it will be on 4/4 and if you take it on the day Jesus was first seen it would be Nissan 19 and that is 4/7.
  • Unleavened Bread: Nissan 15 to Nissan 20; 4/3 to 4/8
  • Shavuot: This is the only floating date because you count seven Sabbaths from First Fruits and then you count 50 days from the seventh Sabbath.
  • Trumpets: The first day of the seventh month. This is the first day of fall. It will always be 9/22.
  • Atonement: Always month 7, day 10. Always 10/1.
  • Tabernacles: Always starts on Month 7, day 15 and goes to day 22. Always 10/6 to 10/13.

Other systems want you to measure the moon and watch barley ripen. This is confusion. Our Father is not the author of confusion. He gave us the seasonal markers for a reason.

Now, what is an equinox and solstice? An equinox is the time when the amount of light and darkness is equal; easy to measure.

The summer solstice is when we have the longest amount of light and the winter solstice when we have the shortest amount of light. Again, easy to measure.

More on Our Biblical Calendar

OK, some will argue this:

“Our year should begin in the new moon around the vernal equinox, provided that the barley will be abib by Passover/ Unleavened Bread. If it’s not going to be abib by then, we wait another month”

The vernal equinox part I agree with because it is a consistent time; it is and has always been March 20th. It only takes one measurement to confirm that on this day you have equal light and equal darkness.

The abib part comes from:

Please note that what is being referred to here is a time frame.

Barley, the specific crop being referenced was planted in autumn and ripened in the spring. So, the time frame is the spring. The beginning of spring is the vernal equinox. See Harvest Seasons of Ancient Israel for more reference.

Another argument in favor of waiting for the ripening of the barley that is put forward is from the Nearly Inspired Version:

[Leviticus 23:9-14 NIV] 9 The LORD said to Moses, 10 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land I am going to give you and you reap its harvest, bring to the priest a sheaf of the first grain you harvest. 11 He is to wave the sheaf before the LORD so it will be accepted on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath. 12 On the day you wave the sheaf, you must sacrifice as a burnt offering to the LORD a lamb a year old without defect, 13 together with its grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with olive oil–a food offering presented to the LORD, a pleasing aroma–and its drink offering of a quarter of a hin of wine. 14 You must not eat any bread, or roasted or new grain, until the very day you bring this offering to your God. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.

The argument that is put forward here is that the sheaf of the first grain is barley; yet it does not say that. It simply says sheaf of first grain. Yes, it may contain barley because that ripened first; however, barley was not the only thing harvested in the spring and there was nothing requiring the first fruits offering contain barley.

At one time I did accept the whole new moon, barley concept. This concept is advanced by many Kararite Jews and many have heard it from sources like Nehemia Gordon.

Our Father is not one to complicate matters for us and he would not make the beginning of the year a complicated matter. He told us that the sun, moon, and stars are for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years. It is not a coincidence that the seasons are marked by the equinoxes and solstices; these are the beginnings of each quarter and the first quarter begins in the spring with the vernal equinox.

Our Biblical Calendar

If we recognize that our seasons revolve around the vernal equinox (sprig), summer solstice (summer), autumnal equinox (fall), and winter solstice (winter) and we note that Our Father told us to pay attention to the barley (abib), which is harvested in the spring, then we will have a good basis for a true Biblical calendar.

If we lived in an agrarian society, such as the Hebrews did, we would be more attuned to the planting and reaping cycles and the beginning of spring would be more important to us.

Since the equinoxes and solstices are on the same day each year, as they have been since time began, this also should be a sign to us.

Based on the above, our calendar should begin with the vernal equinox. The summer solstice should mark the beginning of the second quarter, the autumnal equinox should mark the beginning of the third quarter, and the winter solstice should mark the beginning of the fifth quarter.

The day layout would be:

31 31 31
31 31 31
30 30 30
30 30 29

Based on the above, the feasts would fall on the same dates each year. The dates for 2018 are:

Start Date     End Date       Feast
04/02/2018   04/02/2018  Preparation Day
04/03/2018   04/09/2018  Unleavened Bread
04/03/2018   04/03/2018  Passover
04/07/2018   04/07/2018  First Fruits
07/08/2018   07/08/2018  Shavuot
09/22/2018   09/22/2018  Trumpets
10/01/2018   10/01/2018  Atonement
10/06/2018   10/13/2018  Tabernacles

Does this seem too simple? Our Father does not bring confusion.

Rebuking Pastor Odle

Pastor Odle did a piece against the Ephraim awakening on May 9, 2017 that was rather rude, prideful, and ignorant. This is a rebuking of that.

Today’s random Bible verse: Psalms 118:26

Today’s random Bible verse from BibleDice:

[Psa 118:26 KJV] 26 Blessed [be] he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

When the procession entered the temple the priests would bless them because they came in the name of Yahuah. The temple was His hose and they were giving the blessing from there.

Many prophets have come in His name and deserved this blessing. Yahusha came in His name and deserved this blessing. There are some today that come in his name as well and deserve this blessing.

But, remember this:

[Jhn 5:43 KJV] 43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

There is one yet to come that will come in his own name and we all know who that is. We all need to watch for this and sound the shofar when we see him.

The Great Commission: Matthew 28:18-20

[Mat 28:18-20 KJV] 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

I know I blogged on this as a random Bible verse but I just did not see it for what it really is till later on.

Some would call this the Great Commission. Some would say that this was only to the apostles. The conviction on my heart from the Holy Spirit is that this is for us all.

Today’s random Bible verse: Matthew 28:18-20 is the blog on the random Bible verse. In this I explain:

Through this authority He is giving us the great commission to teach all nations (ethnos – people groups) to observe what He commanded (His commandments, Torah); we are to teach them Torah but first we must follow Torah.

Last night, 7/15/2017, as I listened to a show on the Essenes on NYSTV I started to ask what the show had to do with the Great Commission.  I honestly had a hard time with this conviction of the Holy Spirit; it took me to a place where I was staring out over the line between sanity and insanity. I honestly wonder if this is how Ezekiel, Jeremiah, and others felt.

Yahuah promises us that He will not give us anything we cannot handle. I saw the line but I did not cross it but I did go off on someone I should not have. I pray that he accepts my apology and that I have not lost a friend.

Knowing the history behind the Bible is good and understanding the various groups that are plugged into the other side is also good; however, we need to start focusing on the commission of teaching Torah; this means going back to basics in many instances.

Our schools are teaching our children anti-Biblical things. They are being taught that they evolved from animals and many are growing up acting like animals. They do not know Yahuah, Yahusha, or the Ruach. They are almost being condemned to to the second death from birth because of our society.

The commission to teach Torah needs to start with communities that observe Torah and many of them will be reading this blog. You don’t have to go far to execute the commission because the world is at your doorstep.

Pray for new methods of outreach. Execute the commission. We can talk about history later; we will need something to occupy us during the Great Exodus.

The Millennial Kingdom – An Erroneous Teaching by David Carrico

Folks, for the record, I have much respect for David Carrico; however, the two videos he did that are bellow are in error in my opinion.

In the videos he indicated that he believed:

  • that the Millennial Kingdom is happening right now
  • the Book of Revelation is symbolic
  • the 1,000 years is just symbolic of a long time
  • that the ones beheaded for not taking the mark of the beast will be ruling with Yahusha in heaven.

First of all, let us address what the Millennial Kingdom.

[Rev 20:4-7 KJV] 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This [is] the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. 7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,

This is the Millennial Kingdom.

[Rev 19:11 KJV] 11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

There is nothing surrounding this area of the Bible that indicates that it cannot be take chronologically. The verse above chronologically precedes the Millennial Kingdom so that means that Yahusha has returned and moped up the scene to establish the Millennial Kingdom.

This means that the Millennial Kingdom cannot be happening right now. It is a future event.

As to symbolism, the Bible tells you when it is being symbolic, allegorical, in parable, or in simile. There is nothing around the verses related to the Millennial Kingdom that indicates such or that the 1,000 is symbolic of a very long time.

Additionally in regard to the usage of the word year in the 1,000 years; Yahusha specifically uses the Greek word etos, which means year. If He wanted to be a long time He would have used the Greek word aiōn which translates as age as in the end of the age. so we are talking about 1,000 literal years instead of a very long time.

As to the ones beheaded for not taking the mark of the beast,

[Jhn 3:13 KJV] 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven.

Heaven is the abode of the Father and the Son. The final kingdom will be here on earth. No man will enter heaven.

Based on what I have just said, please review the two videos below and please reach out to David Carrico to convince him to review his teaching on this.

Jephthah’s Vow

[Jdg 11:39 KJV] 39 And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her [according] to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel,

This verse keeps coming up this week.

As you may know, Jephthah made this vow:

[Jdg 11:30-31 KJV] 30 And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the LORD, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands, 31 Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD’S, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.

When he returned his daughter was the first to meet him.

We assume that by Judges 11:39. he offered her as a burnt sacrifice, but, look at this part, “and she knew no man”. Yes, she was a virgin and if she were to be a burnt sacrifice then she truly would know no man but, look at this:

[Lev 27:2 KJV] 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons [shall be] for the LORD by thy estimation.

Remember, Samuel was dedicated to Yahuah; likewise, Jephthah’s daughter could be redeemed by the price of 30 sheckels to the High Priest and she would remain a virgin in the service of Yahuah.

Isaiah on today

I was listening to my Bible reading for today when it got into Isaiah 29 and several things struck me.

[Isa 29:9-11 KJV] 9 Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink. 10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered. 11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which [men] deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it [is] sealed:

As we got further from the time Yahusha spent with us here the true knowledge was covered over. When Constantine legalized Christianity in Rome on his terms; that is, the institution of the Roman Catholic Church, many things were wiped away or replaced by man’s interpretation and need to control others. Fundamental parts of Torah, such as keeping of the Sabbath were changed and much of Torah was dismissed by indicating that the work of the cross had made it unnecessary. This truly was the sealing of the book to us as described by Isaiah.

[Isa 29:13-14 KJV] 13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near [me] with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: 14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, [even] a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise [men] shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent [men] shall be hid.

This is where we are today. Much of what we hold on to as “scripture” is nothing more than the precept of man and we hold on to things taught in our schools by the high priests of scientism as fact when even their words call them theories; unproven theories.

[Isa 29:16 KJV] 16 Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter’s clay: for shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

The theory of evolution tells us that we were not made by Yahuah and the big bang theory says that the universe was an accident that just happened. However, they do now concede that maybe all of this had to have the hand of intelligence but they cannot bring themselves to admit that it was the hand of Yahuah because that would make them accountable to Him and they don’t even want to be accountable to themselves. The shame of it is that even those that call themselves Bible scholars cannot see the words in front of them and choose to insert the interpretation of their teachers rather than accept the truth in the scripture.

[Isa 29:17-20 KJV] 17 [Is] it not yet a very little while, and Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field shall be esteemed as a forest? 18 And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness. 19 The meek also shall increase [their] joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. 20 For the terrible one is brought to nought, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off:

Lebanon is the wooded mountain range on the northern border of Israel. In this passage it is being referred to as a part of Israel that will be fruitful and grow. This part will be awakened and will have eyes to see and ears to hear; it is the Northern Kingdom finally coming out of the judgement it has been in for the past 2,730 years.

We see that awakening happening now and it falls in line with the the Assyrian incursions on the Northern Kingdom from 734 BC through 721 BC.  Today’s first awakening was in the late 1980’s and lines up with the first invasion in 734. Smaller awakenings happened between the late 1980’s to 2009 matching up with the gradual deportation of the Northern Kingdom by Assyria. Then a major awakening happened between 2009 and 2010 that matches up with the final fall of the Northern Kingdom to Assyria in 721 BC.

As we spread the truth that the words of what is called the Old Testament is the foundation for what is called the New Testament, many others will awaken. That mixed multitude, which does contain some blood members of the twelve tribes, will continue to increase until it reaches that number ordained by Yahuah as being the fullness of the gentiles and at that time the steps for the restoration of all things will begin.

We are in the build up of the fullness of the gentiles and we must do everything in our power and ability to educate our brothers and sisters in Torah.

A call to Repentance

Torah Family does a short video each day they call Scriptures for life.

I encourage you all to look at today’s, below.

This is a call to repentance because the Kingdom is near.
